The initial franchise fee is $40,000 per unit in the U.S.. In addition, a development fee of $10,000 per unit to be opened is due upon signing a development agreement.

2. Why do you require $2 million in net worth and $750,000 in liquid assets if the initial franchise fee is only $40,000?
You will have more expenses than just the franchise fee. There are many variables that go into opening each restaurant including the cost of construction, remodeling, equipment, supplies and working capital; you must be able to meet these financial obligations.

3. Do I need restaurant experience?
Monster Sushi training and support programs are designed to help you develop and operate a successful Monster Sushi franchise. Restaurant management experience is important, however, a background in real estate, corporate management, or business ownership can also provide a valuable source of knowledge for many of the decisions you will be required to make as a Monster Sushi franchisee.

4. What training will I receive?
Monster Sushi conducts intensive training courses to help ensure success. Managers receive six weeks of training and each operator receives a 16-week intensive training course, in which we teach the Monster Sushi essentials of restaurant operations, marketing, financial management, employee management and chef training. Once you’ve completed the training, your franchise consultant will help you apply these lessons at your restaurant by assisting you with the pre- and post-opening process.

5. Will Monster Sushi help me finance my restaurant?
Monster Sushi does not provide direct financing. However, we are happy to introduce you to qualified reliable outside sources that may assist you in preparing a financial plan and provide the necessary funding if you meet the appropriate qualifications.

6. How do I find the right location for my Monster Sushi franchise?
You are responsible for selecting your location or proposing a change to an existing location and submitting the proposed location to Monster Sushi for review and approval. In order to make this process straightforward, Monster Sushi will provide you with the target site guidelines, a demographic report of your proposed location as well as assistance with construction review or proposed changes to an existing location.

7. Will Monster Sushi help with the opening of my restaurant?
There are many details that go into opening a restaurant successfully. As we mentioned, your Monster Sushi franchise consultant will be available to assist you in getting your restaurant ready to open and also be available once your restaurant is fully operational. In addition to this support, an initial Monster Sushi training crew will assist with providing support for your restaurant opening.

8. Will I be required to do all my purchasing from Monster Sushi?
Monster Sushi will provide a list of approved suppliers. We require each franchise to work with pre-approved suppliers who, we know from experience, will meet your needs. Monster Sushi has built a priceless reputation on both the quality of our food, as well as our concept, and invested heavily to ensure the best sources for our products. We want our franchises to take advantage of this investment, which also provides franchises purchasing power that most other suppliers will not or can not meet.

9. What are the advertising costs?
According to the Monster Sushi Franchise Agreement, you will be required to contribute 2 percent of gross sales to local advertising. Monster Sushi may also require up to an additional 2 percent for a national advertising fund. This fund is set up to develop marketing, advertising and media relations materials and programs that will raise brand recognition and help drive sales for Monster Sushi and all of its franchises.
